Detailed Description

The optional ViralGuard cartridge chemically purifies water through the use of iodinated resin. The iodinated resin inactivates waterborne viruses that are too small (.02-.085 microns) to be physically filtered. Attach the ViralGuard cartridge to the bottom of the Guardian Filter. The water first passes through the ViralGuard Cartridge and then through the Guardian Filter where the iodine taste and odour are all but removed by the Granular Activated Carbon. When the ViralGuard is used in conjunction with the Guardian Filter, the system is a water purifier - not just a filter. Kills or inactivates 99.99% of waterborne viruses. Only use with the SweetWater Guardian micro-filtration system. When used with the Guardian removes 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria and 99.9% of protozoa.
